May. 29th, 2008 10:42 pmYup, it's that time of year again. :D Lettuce and watering toddlers ahead.
Yay! My lettuce patch. The lettuce is so pretty to me that I almost hate to attack it with a pair of scissors. The red flowers are marigolds. I love marigolds. They are my big exception to my general dislike of double flowers. Even so, I don't like the poofy ones. It's the truth. I'm a big ol' marigold snob.

Date: 2008-05-30 06:16 pm (UTC)Is that butter crunch lettuce? We grow it in pots and cutting only seems to increase production. Good eating. Is the wire protection from rabbits or deer?
Sweet photos.

Date: 2008-05-30 06:57 pm (UTC)The wire is actually to discourage neighborhood cats from using the open areas as a litter box. I think the chicken wire works partly by invading their personal space. They could go under it with no effort at all.
