Has anyone here ever tried to color calibrate their monitor?! I am trying to calibrate my new LCD monitor since I do do some web and desktop publishing stuffs. And I am failing miserably.

Instruction one: turn your monitor's contrast all the way up. OK. Now, adjust brightness until the grey square inside the black square is still very dark but the white one on the very outside is still bright white. Well, with the contrast all the way up, the 'grey' square is black even with the brightness 100%. UNLESS, I turn on the color adjustment at the video card which is just NOT done. All such adjustments should be hardware adjustments. *pouts*

This is a very pathetic thing to be miffed about, I know. In other news, baby cows are just ridiculously cute and this one just had the big cow eyes and instead of being black and white, his patches were the color of chocolate, and bulls (and presumably all other bovines) have barbed tongues like cats. My cousin-in-law keeps a few cows at A's grandmother's so I got to feed the bull apples from her tree. Eeeee! A little scary but neat. I also let her manipulate me into eating too much. :| *headdesk* I brought her all the salad tomatoes from my garden since it turns out that, yes, I still hate raw tomatoes. So she cooked them and showed me how she eats them for breakfast on top of a fried egg. I ate two eggs this way and it was very good. Her: "Well, you didn't eat very much." Me: "Compared to who?" Her (sadly): "I guess you didn't care for it." Me: "I suppose I could eat one more..." I can comfort myself with the notion that such an easy victory can't have given her much satisfaction.
