It seemed like I had stuff to say, and then... well, purple sequined shoes! I ordered some.

I got these in charcoal, and like them so much that I tried to get more and failed, but OMG purple. Plus, watching Season 4 of Buffy and would people PLEASE stop poking Riley in his skewer wound? It doesn't rile me (hah!) nearly as much as when people cut their palms with a dagger, but come on, it's so rude, and can't be a sound practice from a medical standpoint. *pats Riley* I found it interesting: when Spike gets tossed out of the demon bar the demon mentions some sort of code which Spike is violating and that the demon will not, implying that demons don't kill each other. Hmmm. Seems odd. We see them killing each other all the time don't we? I also noticed in an earlier season that Buffy mentions that it is against the rules for a Slayer to kill a human, kind of a parallel. So it's not just that it's a moral gray area to kill an evil human, and Buffy prefers not to go there, she is forbidden to do so.

I guess that's it. My big pear tree is blooming and bumblebees are visiting the flowers. I also saw a bumblebee on my early apple tree. The other apple trees are biding their time, no hint of green really, as are the pears, but the pluot and peaches are blooming. I bought a bunch of bare root strawberries as I couldn't seem to resist 20 bareroot plants for $6 or whatever it was. I almost planted them today, but I still need to acquire an irrigation system for my strawberry pots (I really like strawberry pots) which will consist of plastic water bottle. Also still to plant: two blueberries and two twinberries, plus seed potatoes. My shelling peas and sugar snap peas came up just fine and are about 3 inches tall, and the iron phosphate seems to be very effective against slugs and snails. I gave in and sprinkled some around after the slimy mollusks ate my asparagus to the ground. Iron phosphate is harmless to mammals, but apparently land mollusks must eat it, but then can't digest it. How evil am I? My corn salad seeds never sprouted. I planted them in summer last year and watched them sprout in November after I'd long since given up. Seems that early Spring doesn't please them any better; it's Thanksgiving or bust.

Also, regarding the Buffy comics. My vote is that it can't possible BE Angel in any meaningful sense or perhaps in any sense at all. Odd as it may sound, I find myself hopeful for my ship. The Bangel is too good to be true. If that were Spike, I'd be sweating right now. Though it would be worth it if the art was sexah, since I don't consider the comics canon anyway.

I have a pair of black sequined tennis shoes and they are indeed a source of great happiness to me \o/

You just can't really be unhappy in sparkly shoes, which is a shame because I like my emo music :D
