Annie's Annuals is having a Mother's Day Tea Party on the same day I just happening to be driving through the Bay Area. I was so excited! Annie's Annuals is like the ultimate garden destination. It seems like destiny. Why is my own dear mother horrified? Annie's Annuals is in Richmond, CA. Wikitravel guide for Richmond:

Unfortunately, Downtown Richmond, most of the city, primarily the Iron Triangle and Central Richmond, is a whole different story... Travelers that must traverse these parts of town should know their way around and stay on the major thoroughfares through here... without stopping here for anything or any reason. Do not enter North Richmond at any time for any reason, lest you be riddled with bullet holes.

I am sad for the people who have to make it their home. :(

I'm going to check and see if it's in one of the non-bullet areas.

Wow, that's sad. I grew up in the bay Area and i don't remember Richmond being scary at all.

We, on the other hand, have friends from Arcata visiting for Mother's Day. I hope it's not 96 degrees like it was yesterday!

I don't know what happened, but now it's the second most dangerous city in CA. :(

How funny! Perhaps I run into them at the grocery store without knowing it. I'll cross my fingers for them. It's been 60's here at most.
