Connor's actually saying words! This is so exciting! I'm guessing he's a slow talker, but I don't know the stats for certain, my baby manual is still packed. Often as not, I think it's just as well, it's fruitless or worse to compare these things. Mmm... if Connor's going to be repeating our words, it might be time start editing our conversations.
I do believe we're settled on Blue Lake. Yay! It's somewhat outside the fog belt. It's relatively inexpensive and yet close to Arcata and it's health food stores and used book emporiums. AND my mom couldn't think of anything bad about it other than that it's a bit scruffy. If I'd gotten a command from a bit of flaming shrubbery, it couldn't come more highly recommended than that.
I don't want to stay with Alan's grandma for any interim periods, and I feel bad about that. I love her, but now that her sister's gone, she's gotten needy and manipulative. It's difficult not to be put off by that. I gotta kinda grit my teeth, and try and put myself in her shoes as best I can.
I did find an ad and coupon for that club in Hood River, but there's no contact information on it anywhere. The town's so small that they must figure everyone knows where it is. Fortunately the town is small enough that I think I have an idea. I really ought to make better use of my free alternative though. Before I left I taped four Cardio Jam sessions, which turned out to have many of the high points of the original, a challenging workout and, for 45 minutes, I can fantasize that I have rhythm and coordination. On the down side, the munchkin either has to be asleep, or out of the house, don't want to step on the little sucker, and it also doesn't get me out of the house.
