Got my banking spreadsheets all squared away, even added some new features, inspired by Quicken, and I've been keeping my check register(s) up to date, as had been my pre-move habit. I need to close one account or the other. The Colorado bank has turned out to have much better customer service than Wells Fargo, but Wells Fargo is more conveniently located. Decisions, decisions. Just remembered that the Colorado acct. is the only one for which I have checks, the key reason why I still have two accts., need to print out the paper hoops that the check printing company wants me to jump through and haul them down to the bank.
Looked into rentals. Boy, it's going to be painful to shell out rent. Oh well, staying with relatives would be much more painful. I wouldn't mind staying with Mom, but don't want to cause any friction in her relationship. Maybe I'll ask and see what she says... or maybe not. Having our own space is very important to us. To the point where even we are starting to get on one another's nerves a bit. We comfort ourselves that we probably would have gotton on one another's nerves a lot sooner if we weren't so well matched. Too much spare time is a bad thing in many ways.
