Sep. 15th, 2002 02:27 pm| New Thing(s) I Learned: | Poison Oak doesn't just cause redness and itching, but also huge weeping blisters. Thankfully, I did not find this out first hand and neither did Connor. A toddler with huge, weeping, itchy blisters that disturb the sleep is terrible to contemplate. |
Well, tomorrow we should be the owners of two birth tubs. Yay! The couple seemed really nice. They were the sort of folks use the word 'mellow' and name their kids things like Harmony. They kept the business completely unofficial and probably brought in about $6000 in untaxed income in the time they had them. I never get away with anything, and would like to work with the hospitals as well, homebirths are still, and probably always will be, only a small percentage, so I think we're going to get a business license and all that. If nothing else, I don't have to worry about having a tub available when I need one.
I haven't felt 'pregnant' for a long time. The baby is settled in now and things have reached some sort of peaceful equilibrium. Pregnancy stuff has either gone away or it has become the normal routine. Now I'm just waiting for the fun to begin. I'm impatient to feel the baby kicking. It's nice that I've already done the childbirth thing and don't have to wonder and worry. It's going to be very nice having already done the breastfeeding thing. All in all there should be a lot more fun and less fumbling.
It's nice to have my breasts back for a while. It's nice to be able to wear non-sports bras. It's extra nice that they seemed to have transformed back into erogenous zones.
