As I was looking at my list I was thinking: May I never be single. But whoa, whoa, that's lame. Sure the odds of finding someone that is caring and honorable and sane and single and somehow thinks I'm his sun, moon and starlit sky and inspires me to same seem discouragingly astronomical. But hey, this is bonus stuff. There's no obligation to go out and beat the bushes and deal with whatever else might jump out. It's quite possible to be single and not be 'looking'. May I never be looking. That I can drink to. In the meantime I shall count my blessings.

The origin of the term 'peon' has probably got nothing to do with urine. Rather I'm guessing it comes from the Spanish word for 'worker' of the same spelling.

The rain killed my CRX. Well, the rain made my CRX very sick. It suddenly decided it didn't want to run and we discovered, upon further examination, that its electronic brain, which lives under the passenger seat, was sitting in a not insignificant puddle. Small lake really. :P Alan bailed it out with a cup and it recovered enough to get it home. The lake was back when we got there, so it must be coming up from underneath somehow. What storms this year. The ground apparently reached the saturation point from the previous batch so the light rain we've been receiving lately has just been running off everywhere. It's kind of creepy really, like water just started pouring out of the ground like blood in a horror movie. The storms are pretty cool though. I guess it is an El Nino year.

I got a Burpee garden catalog! I love garden catalogs. I happily plant imaginary gardens with the idealized photos inside. I suppose imaginary gardens would be very fun. You don't have to afford the seeds, rear them successfully, have a climate and soil that they like, deer and pests that hate them, etc.
