Garden Pic
Mar. 25th, 2009 06:22 pmMarch is not very exciting in my garden. Other folks might have late daffodils or Japanese iris or azaleas just beginning their show, thoughtfully set off by evergreen shrubs or interestingly colored grasses, but not me, not yet.
I've been doing some reading about gardening in this climate, and the 'gardening calendar' is a bit off-putting. In months where many gardeners have 'admire the snow' or 'read gardening catalogs' as their tasks, I can presumably be sowing cold-loving annuals or cutting back perennials.
This is a reference pic as much as anything else. It shows the outline of my next brick project. :) One wouldn't know to look at it that it represents a tense compromise. If one were to draw a line from the nearest corner of the shed to the orange pot that is bisected by the bottom edge of the picture... I feel free to 'clutter' up the yard to the right of that line with hardscape, but have been resisting the rest as a concession to the preferences of the rest of the household.
