And Summer is over...

But it was supposed to last forever! The garden and the beach and my birthday! I failed to convince everyone that we could celebrate my birthday all month long, but I think I managed to make the 'birthday week' idea fly (the weeks before AND after of course). And yet, overnight it seems, the party is over, the neighborhood kids are back in school, the rains have returned, the shadows are lengthening. And we all have annoying colds. I blame school being back in session, especially the university. People (and their new and interesting germs) gather from all over and voila, head colds for everyone after a long hiatus. Happens every year. But, the damp air holds long association with the holidays ahead, the promise of feasting and merriment. I like feasting and merriment. But, it's Tylenol and fluids for now.

A loss

I just checked up on her journal and found the saddest news. louise39 passed away on August 23. I will miss her.
