"I wish to be cremated and my ashes distributed at, near or upon the nearest convenient body of water that could be classified as an ocean. Festivities are optional of course, but please, something upbeat..."
Writing a will is a bit odd. It certainly requires a frame of mind that is unusual for me. What sort of burial arrangements would I like? Who do I nominate as the guardian of my minor children if they do not have a living parent at my death? And my second choice? The fun just doesn't stop. I can see why we put off wills. There's something about preparation that is uncomfortably like invitation. As a parent of a minor child, however, I have put off mine as long as I'm going to. Now I just need to dredge up a couple of witnesses.
