After years of getting money back I cheerfully did my taxes this year, only to find myself hyperventilating instead. Is... that a negative? As in I owe? Followed by a 4 digit number? With a $50 penalty for owing too much?? But I'm pretty well over the shock, and will have managed to scrape it together I think.
Saw the Liam Neeson on a Plane movie. Decent flick. It was a bit surreal, because we had a fairly good sized and looong lasting earthquake during a period of turbulence in the movie. Earthquakes are directional, and it stopped one of my pendulum clocks, but started another that was facing a different direction. My poor mom was closer to the quake, it was a bit more like a poltergeist attack. She said that if the earthquake had been oriented another way, one of their light fixtures would have smashed into a window, it was swinging so vigorously.
We're all just recovering from the Cold Of Doom. The poor Mister has had to work all through it. He warned his clients that he was sick in hopes they would wish to reschedule, but most of them had either had it or were recovering and had no mercy. Fortunately not too many tub deliveries for me, I doused myself liberally with hand sanitizer.

Just in case have someone else check your math. My mother once came home freaking out because she thought we owed money on taxes. I went over everything on the form piece by piece and found out that on one line she had made a mistake and either she had subtracted too much or not enough (I can't remember) . I found out that she didn't owe anything and we were getting a refund. It still took a while to calm her down.

If you can't find someone else, just get more forms, relax, have a snack and sit down and do each line over.

Hope you both feel better soon and that the tax figure was inaccurate.

We caught that cold of doom when we were in Napa last weekend. It's certainly a mutant strain and we're still coughing and congested. I hope your mister recovers quicker than we have.

That earthquake and all the aftershocks must be nerve wracking. That's something I don't miss about California.

It took me a while to calm down too! I'm glad she had you to do that for her. Sadly mine is correct even if I wish it weren't. But I like the snack idea a lot.

Verily it is the cold of DOOM. The Mister's still looking a bit bewildered and under the weather, but each day a little brighter. On the other hand, I let the kids have unlimited computer for about two weeks. I just cut it off today, and 11YO went into an abrupt decline! Lost his appetite and took to his bed.

I grew up with it, and they don't bother me, fortunately, so long as they are too small to harm anyone.
