Transferred money into my savings account for the first time in about 2 years. This is a stellar moment. Alan laughed when he saw me looking at realty sites again given the modest size of the amount. Can't wait to get my statement of income thingies from my brief foray into employment last year. I like to do taxes, I'm sick that way.
Yesterday went to Alan's grandma's and retrieved his PDA which he has been sorely missing. I also scrubbed down her cupboards and mopped her kitchen and dining room. It looked much better. Connor fell asleep on her lap while I did that, I expect she liked that very much. She gets a great deal of help, but I've realized recently that it's mostly from conventional males. They bring her firewood and groceries and repair her plumbing, but she gets somewhat less assistance in the cooking and cleaning depts. Especially lately, with Ginger being pregnant and in a bit of a depression. Well, Alan can cook and I can clean.
Unfortunately, I seem to be coming down with a cold. I was realizing with my last one that the fewer I get the more I dislike them. Furthermore, I've gotten used to being able to something about my more noticable discomforts. If I'm hungry or have low blood sugar than I eat. If I'm tired, I can take a nap. If I have low energy, I can get up and do something or give in to it and read a book. When I'm sick, I just have to be miserable until it releases its hold. This does not sit well.

Date: 2003-01-21 12:06 pm (UTC)Myles did our taxes last night - we're getting $2700 back! One of the few perks of being poor. :P It'll help a lot of things quite a bit, including car repairs and stuff. And stuff! Meh.
