Here it is... my rogues gallery from preteen to present.

Exhibit 1: Prince Irrylath
Never let it be said that literature cannot corrupt the youth. This vampyre bad boy of my preteen years is from Meredith Ann Pierce's Darkangel Trilogy which comes highly recommended for young people. Irrylath does a great employee orientation: "I had another tiring maid before you, but she tried to run away. She did not get far across the plain. I caught her by the hair and strangled her, then threw her to my gargoyles. If you try to leave here, I will do the same to you." Amazon sums the story up like so: "The servant girl Aeriel must choose between destroying her vampire master for his evil deeds or saving him for the sake of his beauty and the spark of goodness she has seen in him." Hmmmmm. Exhibit 2: Raistlin Majere Forget boy bands--this is who I mooned after in high school. Mr. Majere wants to rule the world--by becoming a god--and, oh yeah, Evil. Co-creator Margaret Weis says that in a DragonLance movie she'd like to see James Marsters play Raistlin. Good choice. Exhibit 3: Spike Need I say more? Nah, I didn't think so. Exhibit 4: Agent Pendergast The sophisticated, preternaturally competent, rogue FBI agent in Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's series of science/action/horror novels. He is said to be lean but well-muscled, and I expect he's preternaturally competent in a variety of disciplines. Exhibit 5: Prince Lotor At least 6'6" of blue alien overlord goodness. He wants to rule the galaxy almost as much as he wants a certain blond protagonist to rule it by his side. |

Better than mine (hockey/bass players) anyday.
I want that Drangonlance movie right the hell now, though.

Date: 2008-04-06 01:15 pm (UTC)What about Jareth in "Labyrinth" as well. Evil (kind of), seductive, black clothes (sometimes), white-ish hair.
Hmmm...

Date: 2008-04-06 03:58 pm (UTC)I liked Jareth. He definitely deserves honorable mention, along with the Malfoy guys, Draco and Lucius.

Date: 2008-04-06 10:34 pm (UTC)Admitting my ignorance, in that I know nothing of Prince Lotor, but his bio and pic remind me of a near pefect Spike/Piccolo hybrid.

Date: 2008-04-07 06:08 am (UTC)1) Piccolo is a large (no height noted, but certainly muscular) alien overlord with green skin and pointed ears.
2) Tormented past - check (I'd say so, considering he spent a millenia or two imprisoned in a rice cooker!) 3) Wants to rule the galaxy - check.
4) Starts out evil but is apparently redeemed further into the saga.
So take Piccolo's size, alien overlord status, colored skin, pointed ears, and galaxy-ruling aspirations.
Add Spike's white hair, penchant for black clothing, his love & desire for Buffy, and bring Spike's baby blues into the mix by changing the colored skin from green to blue. They share a body count and tormented past already.
FWIW, that's what I based my previous comment on. Thanks for filling in the details on Prince Lotor ~ he certainly does cover the bases for your type! I'll admit I haven't paid much heed to that in your journal, pining instead for more Persephone (no pressure! no pressure!), but I'll try to catch up with the Lotor fic.
