Like so many on my flist, I was pleased as punch with Obama's decisive and historic victory, and saddened that Prop. 8 was close but no champagne. On behalf of CA, I am sorry, nation. Next time!

On the upside, my particular county trounced Prop. 8, 60/40. In the meantime, I shall try to see my progressive glass as being half-full, even as I get off my butt to raise the level.

My county was epic fail, despite my best efforts. :(

I'm sorry. :( *hugs*

Some people are just scared of things that are different than what they are used to.

Miserable people never want to see anybody happy.

I'm so happy with the presidential election results: no recounts this time, hehe. I'm also pleased Palin is at least 4 years away from the White House: I hope she uses that shiny new passport of hers in the meantime ;)

I'm glad too that the election was decisive. I'm crossing my fingers that Palin is a million years away from the White House. She's all cunning, religious ferver and ambition and no prudence or wisdom; W all over again.

60/40 is all good.

It'll happen soon, it's pretty inevitable.

It's better than getting hit with a stick, as my mom's husband likes to say.

It is inevitable! The demographics make that pretty clear.

One day we're all going to be terribly embarrassed that it was ever an issue \o/

No champagne for me, either. *sigh* Arkansas voted to ban gay couples from adopting children. I know it won't stand, but geez, anti-family crap like this just makes me ill. We'll get there, yes?

The most screwed-up and degenerate people I know or have heard of are from heterosexual couples that "raised" them. It annoys me that people would rather have kids stuck in an overcrowded foster care system, or be homeless, rather than be treated with love and respect by two people.
