Lays ears back
Feb. 4th, 2009 12:36 pmI do a local newsletter in which I include news from the organization at the state and national levels quoted straight from their own news releases. I included a state-level news release, titled so, in my draft copy:
Challenging Prop 8: [Organization] Files Amicus Brief
And got this feedback: Did this come directly from [State]? Should we perhaps have a sentence that explains why the [State] board is doing this? i.e. based on the policy that discrimination should not be written into the Constitution? Maybe check with President and Executive Committee about this? Or maybe just wait until next month after something happens about it!
Um, since when do I have to check with the Executive committee before re-printing our organization's OWN news releases? O.o *purses lips*
