The plants grew. The snails devoured. I laid some brick. And took out some concrete pavers. Anybody want to buy? I also finished my new planter box. Why can't I pick paint colors to save my life? The planter is exactly the color of my favorite alien overlord, but does not belong in my garden at all. Much mirth was had at my expense when I figured it out, long after an entire gallon was purchased.

Did my backyard get larger? No, I just mated the pictures together incorrectly for March.

Cute! At least you're matching your paint scheme to your favorite fictional characters

I was pretty astounded with myself when I realized it was exactly the color I imagine his hide to be. *headdesk* Freudian paint?

That looks like a really nice back yard. You've been doing a lot of nifty things with it. :)

I've been gardening like crazy, too, but am impressed that you tackle the hardscapes, too. That's a bit difference, right there. I've been trying to figure out what to do for pavers in the side yard.

There are many paint-related jokes at our house, too, but the fact that your planters are lotor-hued is priceless.

Big bush, pink flowers in foreground =???? Peony??

I wouldn't mind hiring people to do hardscape for me. It's just not in my budget. :)

I will have to take a picture of the Lotor planter--before I paint it to match the others.

That's a Rose Campion. The flowers of this plant are some of the most intensely colored I have ever seen. It seems to become rather large. It's good that I removed the other two or they would take over the whole thing. It reseeds easily, but I don't often see it at nurseries. I got these asking for seedlings on Freecycle. Now I have babies to give away!

I hear you about the budget. That's why there are no pavers in the side yard! I've been trying to figure out what I could do myself!

Ah, we have shared our admiration for Rose Campion before, I think. I've just never seen it massed like that!!! It looked like a bush to me. Such a lovely, old fashioned flower. I've lusted after it in my sister's neighbors garden for years.

I need to check out Freecycle now, before I ring that neighbor's bell and get a rep as a "crazy plant lady".

Yes, Lotor planter pictures, please!

I don't want to weird you out or anything, but I would send you some Rose Campion. When it's happy it does become a sizeable plant. I don't think it's terribly picky either.

Tonight I got new green paint to paint my planter with, so 'Lotor planter' pics will probably be soon.
