Mar. 25th, 2010 04:15 pmIt finally happened. I was on my way into a Chinese restaurant to pick up some take-out, and my phone rang. Or rather, there were just the right number of frogs to sound like my phone. Ah well, mating season will soon be over surely? The frogs must be rejoicing today. At dawn the heavens opened and there was a spectacularly noisy deluge of rain and hail. I was half expecting my garden to be flattened to the ground when I woke again, but it all looked business-as-usual out there, even perky.
Between tubs and sick/fussy children, I have been awake at odd hours and sleeping when I should be socializing with my in-laws. Oops! Six-seven years old seems to be the age when they get an inkling that it's not all rainbows and moonbeans. At that age, my eldest had to be sent back to bed a couple times after lights out for a few weeks, because he'd figured out his own mortality. My middle child is now distressed about imaginary things that go bump in the night. *sigh* *summons patience*
Speaking of kid stuff, what is wrong with wearing pants? I do the co-sleeping thing, and people warned me that they would never leave my bed. That hasn't turned out to be a problem, but if you let them run around without pants... must be great stuff, because it's very challenging to get them to start wearing those two-legged items of clothing when they get older.
I've been busy enough that I bought a third tub, a good-sized investment for me, over a thousand dollars. It arrived today, and I am tickled. I really need to give them names.
And in conclusion, I finally used the camera on my phone. Clearly there's at least one other fan around here:

Date: 2010-03-26 12:35 am (UTC)It is a neat time of the year, if soggy. The plate was a nice surprise in a day that wasn't going the smoothest.
