Reading Material: Mike Nelson's Movie Megacheese by Michael J. Nelson
+ asst. romance novels and children's books

My brain is fried. So fried that the above book moves me consistantly to uncontrollable giggles where in the past I have been decidedly luke warm about sampled passages, but was keeping it around for sentiment. Psychologists rate moving right below death and divorce as a cause of stress and I am particularly unfond of moving. I actually couldn't cope St. Patty's evening and had to ditch Connor with his grandma while we decompressed over fat bombs down at the Marina. For a little bit before we left, I had thought I had calmed down and then Connor started fussing and reaching for me (he and Alan had both contracted colds, a nice touch) and I shook him by the shoulders and said "What do you want?" in a not entirely sane voice. Whoa. Time for a break. I'm mostly sane now, though my brain was fried enough yesterday that I left my wallet containing my not-fried brain on top of my car where it promptly fell, unnoticed by me, into the roadway and was flattened by cars. Some very nice gentleman with a four-wheel-drive and girlfriend with blond poofy hair, went out of his way to return it to me. My lovely green PDA has been transformed from an over-priced grocery list to an over-priced novelty picture frame. *sigh*

On the other hand, I got excellent deals on a dryer and vacuum cleaner. You win some, you lose some. That's always hard to remember. Deep down I've got this feeling like, if I was just smart and together enough, I would win them all, but that just ain't so on both counts.
