Gardening today. I ought to have suspected that I would get the urge to play in the dirt as soon as I donned my only white t-shirt this morning. At least I took my rings off almost right away and wore my gloves most of the time. I've done all the digging, now I should do the fun part and go plant stuff. What should I plant in the goat-beast planter? (You tell me what to call something with a goat's head and feet and the body of a duck.) Nothing right away, I need to drill some holes in the bottom first and glue one of its horns back on.

I'd suggest rhodedendrons, but unless it's a really big goat it's not likely to survive. :) Here's a good site about annoying non-native plants (http://www.northcoast.com/~cnps/iwhc/), though I'm having more trouble finding any pages that list good native plants. This is a great idea, (http://www.hbgf.org/native.htm) but it doesn't look like it's up and running yet. I'll leave you to do the researching, oh ye of green thumbness. :)
