Gardening in the Gloom

It's time to plant. I'm supposed to be planting hardy annuals, cover crops and bulbs. I have some narcissus to plant. And some native milkweeds and a native annual called a 'fiddleneck' that the bees just go bonkers for. I also have some lovely annual poppies. And six big bags of compost to spread around. And a whole bunch of perennials to relocate. I think I'm going to take a nap. *yawn* That's what I get for eating cookies. But I have trouble resisting the little starch bombs. *yawn* The kids have promised to wake me in time to take them to the movie. I think I can rely on them to do that much. Hope you all are warm and cozy and looking forward to the holidays. Holidays = more starch! *yawn*

P.S. I am reading Sanditon by Jane Austen (and another Lady) and watching the recent BBC mini series of Emma.

Heh. I'm sure some people might think, isn't there a pill for that? I do enjoy the results, but these soggy fall days are not very inspiring.
