"My dog's s*%@ doesn't stink!"
Mar. 18th, 2011 12:22 pmI posted the rental on craigslist a few days ago and am getting the usual assortment of desperate dog owners, but this one is a cut above and her owner is apparently exceptional too:
As a landlord, I am always caught between tenants that could probably use a break and tenants who are likely to cause me the least trouble.
"I have a perfectly behaved, mature(12 yr old) Australian Shepherd mix that would be living with me. She doesn't bark, chew things, scratch floors, urinate on carpeting, or destroy landscaping. She eats only premium dog food, no table scraps, so her poop is fairly benign, meaning that it has little or no odor and I pick up after her. My current landlord will vouch for her. In fact, my current landlord offered to reduce my rent by almost half if I would consider staying where I am."

I would go with the tenant least likely to cause trouble.
