Dear Lady,
One person you should never try to hit up for a loan is a prospective landlord. Please stop texting/emailing/calling me and asking to waive the security deposit, or let you pay it later on, or in installments. It gives a terrible impression, and I wouldn't rent to you even if you eventually came up with the cash.

It looks like I've already found a tenant. I hope you find a place soon.

I figure that saying it's taken is best because then she doesn't waste more time or energy pursuing the unobtainable. Except that she may keep seeing it on craigslist. :/ Big flaw in my plan. *sigh*

Oh, that's just... there really are no words. The sad part is that she probably honestly doesn't see that her approach might be somewhat problematic.

So yeah, passing on that possible tenant is probably a wise choice!
