I didn't realize before how common subtitles still are. *shrug*
Watched MI-2 last night. I have never before had less desire to know the fate of the free world. *double blah* I think we've scraped our way painfully through the bottom of the video selection barrel and are coming up with the sorts of things one finds overturning rotten pieces of wood.
Speaking of slimy things saw a very cool slug on the cat's food dish last night. Mustard with kinda leopard spots. When I took a closer look I saw that it was supporting a very active population of tiny white mites. You'd think just being a slug would be enough without having to have mite infestations as well, but there you go. I took a picture of it, and now I have a slug bookmark. Nothing like digital cameras for instant gratification. In the spirit of I.G. I just had to cut the bookmark out right away with scissors instead of taking it somewhere with a paper cutter. Without much looking up from his book, Alan said 'You're going to be unhappy with it and then you're going to have to print up another one.' Oh, he of little faith.

Date: 2001-11-05 06:07 am (UTC)Speaking of movies: the Harry Potter preview, if you haven't seen it, looks utterly excellent. I heard one line that I don't remember from the book. Apparantly the movie is two and a half hours long, because JK Rowling wouldn't let them cut any scenes whatsoever. Apparantly also, she's spent so much time working on the movie that the 5th book is late getting out. Argh! Not that I'm re-reading the series in impatient anticipation, or anything. ;)
Slug mites. I never would have expected slugs... to have mites. What a miserable existence. I don't know which I feel more sorry for, the slug with mites, or the mites that have to live on a slug. bleah
