The kiddos are gone camping with Grandma. The mister was off at a marksmanship course. (He tells me he was a hero with the ladies because he packed toilet paper to the remote shooting range.) So I used some of my quiet time to complete an outline for the remainder of Between Two Evils. Looks like 28 chapters. I would really like to actually finish a long fic. I'm hoping this outline will help. Tomorrow I plan to put some time in on actual writing.

It's that time of year. Dahlia time! How did I go so long without them?

I find them easy to grow, and they make such nice bouquets.

Stupendous colors and shapes! Are they only annual bulbs or can they be saved?

They form tuber clumps which people in cold winter areas dig up after the first frost. I leave mine in the ground unless I want to divide them.

That must make a great surprise for the late summer!

The larger the flower the later the bloom. But they start pushing out of the ground in March (Each Spring I watch anxiously for them. It's just my way.) and take their time growing into four-foot pillars of emerald green. They are a team effort. I have to support them with tomato cages, otherwise the stems can fall flat or even break under the weight of the flowers.

Does it seem like a longer story? You are the one with all the experience. I don't know. :)

To be honest, I'm not sure. What was the last chapter's number? I don't know how much you hstill ave planned, but right now it didn't feel from what I remember reading, as if we're anywhere near the end...the dungeon scene you talked about to me all that time long ago. ^^"" That's why I feel surprised. But long, short, medium, I adore this story. And am eager for new chapters! :)

I am working on Chapter 19 right now. I guess we'll see what happens. :) I did post a little bit from the new chapter at my journal.
