Alan tells me that as he was sitting in the orthodontist's chair he was thinking, "I have come to complete my treatment." *groan* I've never been a proponent of complete disclosure in a relationship. We've been crabby at each other ever since we got back. :( I expect he's been crabby because his teeth and head hurt and because his wife's crabby, and I've been crabby because I haven't been getting enough sleep and my husband's crabby, and probably other stuff related to uncertainty. It's general lameness all around. I'll even shoulder a larger portion of the blame.

Yesterday I saw a spider pretending to be an ant. It was doing an excellent job, starting and stopping and bobbing it's abdomen and waving a pair of its forelegs like feelers. I've noticed more ants wandering around the house lately, I suppose it's followed them in like a lion following a wildebeast migration. What if there were these large predators that could pass as human if you weren't looking too closely, say if you were hunched into your jacket, your mind on other things? (Are these the sort of stray thoughts that horror writers have?) I imagine their coloration would vary from locale to locale, say khaki from the 'waist' down on college campuses. Forget the khaki varient, they would be extinct in first world countries, adventurous tourists would brag of close encounters, and a few would actually get eaten. Just like lions. And, of course, there are predators like that really ("Be Safe. Keep Your Head Up, Look Around And Walk Confidently When Walking Alone.")

Well, I've advanced to the testing stage for the County job, I've put my seeds in to soak, I've got my books posted on ebay. I think I've spent about 12 hours on that project so far. When I figure my profits, I'll probably have made about 10 cents an hour. Hope I had fun. :P
