ETA: FOUND CAT

We adopted another cat from a shelter about 5 days ago and it was going really great. No spraying or anything. But today he escaped out my open back door. Please tell me stories about kitties who came back! I'm very worried. I'm already very attached to him.

Oh no! That's so scary. Several years ago I moved from the place I had been living when I first got Molly, and one night at the new place she managed to somehow push open a window screen and climb out. She had always been an indoor only cat, so I was scared to death when I realized she had gotten outside, but she did come back a few hours later, meowing like crazy like she was trying to tell me about all the adventures she had had outside. Hopefully your kitty will remember where he gets his food and will be back soon. ::hugs::

I called and called, but tonight after dark I went out and called again and he came charging back. *whew!* What a relief! It was milkshakes all around at my house.

The stories would have been much appreciated, but I think getting the kitty back is more than fair exchange. Yay! I tried to remind myself that our other kitty, Jones, established us as her household with much less encouragement.
