I'm surprised to realize that this is the first book of erotica I have ever owned. (Alan questions this, but no, those 'classical erotica' books I picked up are porn, it may be antique porn, but it's still porn.) The first section of the vampire book has a bi/trans-sexual theme. These androgynous kink-ridden encounters make me realize how blatently heterosexual are the romps generally found in romance novels where the focus is as much on the emotional and hormonal as the sensual. (I can't believe I actually made some joking comment to the cashier about having traded wholesome children's books in on vampire smut. *cringe*)
