New Thing(s) I Learned:

'Turned on' meant something rather more general a couple generations ago.

I tried to imagine how I would go about explaining to Alan's grandmother what 'turned on' means in modern parlance, if I were so inclined, which I'm not, without mentioning sex. Nothing really sprang to mind.

I couldn't think of anywhere I particularly wanted to go on the internet. (This has been happening to me pretty regularly lately.) So I cruised over to EL's site. It seems I missed one of my favorite romance authors' first book tour in ten years. Guess I should have been paying closer attention, that'll teach me. She is scheduled to speak at the RWA conference in July. It's in Denver. Hmmm, I do know the town. But even if I were inclined to spend the money, I will be among the gainfully employed and can't be gallivanting around like that.
