Connor just handed me a toilet plunger. Thank you Connor.
Went to that interview. I had to call and tell them I was going to be late. I was late because I didn't really want to go, a common occurrence with my last job. I let them believe that I was having trouble with child care which wasn't the case at all. By the way, it is illegal for prospective employers to inquire of prospective female employees whether or not they have children and dependable child care arrangements. It's considered to be discriminatory. These people did both. Anyway, they're looking for a serious employee for a party-time sole-proprietership, paying peanuts. They're looking for someone without a degree or work-experience or dependents who needs the experience. At least, I hope they know that's what they're looking for. Saving the town would be much more interesting than other possibilities, but I can't afford it.
I just got a whale of a chain letter from somebody that bought something from me on ebay. Took at least a minute to beach itself in my inbox. Cheesy fireworks graphics, rotating crosses, flickering candles, it was a smorgasbord of horrific animated clip art. "Keep the candle burning in remembrance of 9/11 Mail to everyone you know"
I sent them a polite reply asking them not to send me any more chain letters, and suggesting that they reconsider sending such to people of small acquaintance.
