Yesterday morning was kind of surreal. I was driving to the grocery store for milk and bread and vaginal suppositories, and the sage in my garden was purple and sparkly, the massive hereford bull laying in the shade of a bush looked like some sort of giant alien fungus, lavender with russet speckles, a dirty mini-van said "Acceptance is the key" instead of "Wash me". Yes, vaginal suppositories. I have had a mild yeast infection on and off, mostly on, since that triple-damned bike race on Mother's Day. It's really becoming very annoying and it's been interfering with my sex life. Why leave the house to get an STD when you can grow your own at home? So much for the acidophilus, I'm going to abase myself to the corporate pharmaceutical giants, and be grateful for the opportunity. Please let me not be stuck with this for the rest of my pregnancy. I visited the feminista yeast infection site again. I notice that while women are wimmin, men are boys, and are referred to as though they were just another variety of sex toy. :)
So, that's why I'm cleaning my carpets today while my toddler is with grandma instead of more interesting things. Yes, I know there are ways and ways, but I think I would just as soon be in suspense.
Me: "Would you buy me lunch?"
Alan: "Sure, where do you want to go."
Me: "Dennys"
Alan: "Do I have to go?"
I thought men liked cheap women? Dennys is the nearest Boca Burger that I know of. I'm experiencing cheeseburger cravings. Being pregnant is an excellent excuse to eat salmon. All those Omega-3 fatty acids are very important for growing brains and nervous systems. Salmon with dill, garlic and butter, savory black bean and tortilla soup, and crusty sourdough bread. Oh my. I need to go eat something.
