I do not respond well to sleep deprivation. I'm amazingly more human with the addition of a few more hours of sleep. The difference in attitude is especially nice. Things don't seem impossible anymore. I was feeling like I could either do half the housework and do a half-assed job of taking care of the munchkins or I could take care of the munchkins and get no housework done at all. Bleh. All better now, 'til the next time crunch. I was reading recently that humans are community breeders, and I think that's very true. Too bad daycare centers are no replacement for grandparents and dads, aunts and uncles. I've got a fair bit of support, but I could wish some of it was next door. I've talked to Mark about helping me out, and I hope he takes me up on it.
July is going to be my busiest month for tubs ever, and Alan's going out of town. Sleep deprivation ahoy! :) Some guy in Florida wants Alan to come sprinkle holy water over his PHP application. I think this is pretty cool, but I think Alan is a little ambivalent about his sudden guru status. I probably would be also.
Sacrificed the feather bed yesterday. Connor and I solemnly took it into the woods out back with a pair of scissors. It served us well for many years. Far too many. If I recall, Alan surprised me with it when I moved into our very first apartment together. It was probably a holy city for dust mites. Connor was very cute. "Feathers in the spiderweb. Feathers in the spiderweb outside!"
