Car is sold. Big wad of cash to deposit at the bank today. This is a little odd, because these folks didn't take it to a mechanic before purchasing and didn't ask if there were any outstanding mechanical issues. I thought only we were that foolish and that not anymore. They are Civic freaks, they have 2 others and are replacing yet another that got totaled. I think perhaps they are like us once and think the Honda Civic can do no wrong. Most of the time they can't, but these folks haven't met one from Chicago yet obviously. Alan tells me that he didn't tell them about the parking brake or the oil leaks. This actually kept me up this morning wondering if I should give them some bonus knowledge after the fact, and if so, in what form. I don't know if that is really what was keeping me up. If I'm stressed, I will have trouble sleeping and the items that my brain chooses to occupy itself with during that time may not be the key contributor to the stress. This morning I came to the conclusion that a mechanic would bring these things to their attention and it is now their responsibility to consult one. It would be different if these were safety issues, but they're not. Still...
