botiasBeing a Spuffy shipper I was unsurprised to find myself shipping LoVe in season 1. I resisted, but *shrug* at some point (after they turned him into a multi-dimensional character and added a few dollops of heroism) I succumbed to their manipulations, what the hell. It doesn't hurt that Duncan is so yuck. And how is it that someone who has violent outbursts via psychotic episodes makes for a much more intelligent BF choice than someone who has violent outbursts 'cause they're a seething vortex of rage and self-hatred?
But, I've been saved investment in another fandom by Logan's role in season 2 and his complete lack of yummy abs. What has he really done besides provide snark and be 'bringer of orgasms' to Ms. Christolakis? He even fails to be properly evil, redeeming himself with his erstwhile tool before she is shipped off to boarding school.
It kind of took some of the impact out of the epic speech for me. Actually that's not what killed the epic speech for me. What killed it is that as soon as she took off, I knew he was going to wake up next to someone else. Typical yes, epic no.
