I really can't understand the fuss as yet. A header and 2 columns instead of one big clunky column, doesn't seem so radical to me, quite a bit better organized in fact. Maybe a cultural thing, people seem to be objecting more to the perceived motivations of LJ rather than the change itself, and it does look more slick and less free/volunteer/fringey. Probably, I've missed the bit where they're changing it to better allow the DOJ to datamine it, and I'm going to look really foolish and uninformed.

I'm just happy that LJ has turned their attention to the thingy that lets me change my journal title, now that they're done making most of their peeps mad. Wish they'd changed their links saying 'Click here to change your journal title' or left it there but greyed out. Anything, but the madddening void! But I can't complain (hah! already did) since I do get this for free.
