MORE Garden Before and After Pic!Spam
Aug. 31st, 2007 04:58 pmOr, for most of you, what I have been doing when I should be writing crack!fic. Never fear, Chapter 5 is pretty much ready for beta.

The 3 raised beds have been assembled, painted and installed and filled with some sort of fru fru planting dirt, courtesy of my mother. The planting mix is like guano from bats that live in seaside condos and eat only goat cheese, and Pacific kelp meal, and select forest bits. The farthest bin is planted with lettuce that is almost ready for harvest.
7yo and 4yo helped with the painting, much to their amusement. The color went from poodle skirt pink, to barn red, to blue, to green. The poodle skirt pink was just the primer, but the others... I was struggling, and still am not entirely happy with the color. *gets over it*
I shifted the gravel off the funky patio bit, and you can see a sinuous line in the dirt. Tomorrow I will be pouring concrete there *iz skeered but in a good way* for a brick wall. On the very far right you can see the slabs of recycled concrete that make up the back of the bed.
Wow! I had no idea it had grown up so much. :)
