First it was the geese, and then on January 29 it was the robins. I didn't even notice when the robins left last year, but then I looked out the window that morning and there was one in the plum tree. They were everywhere that day, and now most of them seem to have moved on to parts north. Today the blossoms on the plum tree are starting to open; in few weeks there will be little pink snowflakes falling past my window. And spring is on my flist all of the sudden, everyone seems ready. One person is painting their toenails in wistful anticipation; another is planting their first garden seeds; a few remark on days of balmy weather that whet their anticipation. Happy 'spring is a lot closer than it was in December' everyone! :)

Date: 2009-02-10 05:24 pm (UTC)It is closer than it was. This is such a good thing! But we won't see full spring for another six weeks at least, so I'm extra grateful for those rare warm days, when they come by.
Will you add to your garden this year?
