Christmas Eve

I have the girliest desktop (bar one), that I have ever yet had. I generally have a tomboy's aversion to pink, but I just loved the new holiday spuffy wallpaper by spikeshunny to bits, and have made it the centerpiece of my new, pinkish pc ensemble.

I want to thank diachrony for the virtual pressies. They made me smile. :) And I want to express my thanks and appreciation to all my amazing, talented flist. You all added so much to my year with your wonderful art and writing and friendship.

I'm being terribly lazy today, except for when I work. I've been subsisting on chocolate-chip oatmeal cookies, nuked just until the chips are melty again, tall glasses of milk, trashy fiction and naps. Later, I will have to go to my in-laws and with a bit of luck none of the meth labs in the neighboring trailers will explode I will strive to be a friendly and grateful guest, the kids will have a great time, great-grandma will be pleased, and then we will all come home safe and sound and I will be deeply thankful for it. Most people say 'this too will pass' when times are bad, but it is true always. I try to remember.
