Wails!!

I got a real hair cut for the first time in about 12 years, and it was awesome! So cute! And I have new product, which is a miracle elixer for my fine, curly hair. And then I went back for a trim and disaster!!

The first cut looked kind of like this:



She changed the shape of the cut, and it left me feeling increasingly unsatisfied and blah, and that's when I realized... I HAVE JOYCE SUMMERS' HAIR



*cries* Now don't get me wrong, Joyce is a lovely lady, but... but... *wails*

OK, I'm over it. It will grow out. *sob* It's better than looking like my driver license picture every day, which I was doing there for a bit. I'll just have to console myself with writing alien abduction pornography until it does. Avoiding other projects with looming deadlines has led me to get about five pages done of a L/A non-con one-shot that I'm pretty pleased with. I should be posting that soon.

Lays ears back

I do a local newsletter in which I include news from the organization at the state and national levels quoted straight from their own news releases. I included a state-level news release, titled so, in my draft copy:

Challenging Prop 8: [Organization] Files Amicus Brief

And got this feedback: Did this come directly from [State]? Should we perhaps have a sentence that explains why the [State] board is doing this? i.e. based on the policy that discrimination should not be written into the Constitution? Maybe check with President and Executive Committee about this? Or maybe just wait until next month after something happens about it!


Um, since when do I have to check with the Executive committee before re-printing our organization's OWN news releases? O.o *purses lips*
