I went to see the new James Bond last night. It was blah. Not even bad in a good way. Wasn't even any cool action. Bond with no cool action?! Still, it must be hard to think of new stuff. Anyway. The villain was good and creepy and kinda sympathetic, but the rest of it was BLAH. Save your dime and watch How Casino Royale Should Have Ended instead.

ETA: It DID have the new Hobbit trailer. I want to see that SO BAD. I want to go to MIDDLE EARTH (the sort of 'going' where there is no physical risk or discomfort).


Spoilers! You guessed it. They killed Judi Dench and replaced her with Voldemort. Voldemort is a compelling actor, but Judi Dench is half of what I loved about the new Bond flicks. I don't plan to see the next one.

Thanks for the heads up. The mister and I only see two or three movies a year (outside the house), so it's always good to know which ones are a waste of twenty dollars.

I know right? Maybe she didn't want to play the character any longer. I adored her dynamic with Bond and the theme of the film could have been wonderfully done. Oops. Oh well.

Hubby and I went to see it last night. After the credits rolled we looked at each other and said, "It wasn't that great." Not as great as everyone is making it out to be. I don't think Daniel Craig is all that good looking, but BOY OH BOY do I love how he fills out his skinny suits.

I agree. I find him attractive, but he's not pretty. It's no wonder M recognized his silhouette in the dark what with the ears and all.
